All-access doesn't mean no problems.

The three Diamond sisters survived the summer in style after coming to live with their long-lost billionaire father. But making a place for themselves at their exclusive new Las Vegas private school is throwing them any number of gold-plated curves. Savannah's YouTube stardom turns into a Sweet Sixteen reality show extravaganza—with complimentary enemies on the side. Dangerous flirtations don't keep Peyton from a gamble that will risk far more than she planned to bet. And when Courtney and the sisters' archenemy, Madison, uncover two explosive secrets, it will rock even this town of glittering illusion—and turn their lives upside down all over again.

Sisterhood, first crushes, and scandalous secrets explode in book two of Michelle Madow's riveting series, The Secret Diamond Sisters.

The Diamond sisters are back, after a long summer of catching up on school work preparing for their new private school, the Diamond girls have laid pretty low on the drama front, but that’s all about to change. Diamonds in the Rough follows Savannah, Courtney and Peyton Diamond, as well as Madison, the typical mean girl, but all is about to change.

This book was so fun! I enjoyed it so much and I’m not going to lie to you I wasn’t fully hooked after The Secret Diamond Sisters, the first in the series, but I was still curious enough to want to check out this one. I think for me the first one was a lot of getting to know them, and it was hard at first to keep all the girls straight. Then we get to Diamonds in the Rough you’ve got a great sense of who they all are and how completely different they are from each other. A lot happens with each of these girls, they go through typical teenage drama, relationship woes, mean girl troubles, insecurities, etc.  And then Michelle Madow throws in some crazy drama and reveals a lot of heavy secrets that just rocks these girl’s lives.

Savannah has been planning her sweet sixteen that’s amped to be the best party of the year. Then her YouTube channel of her doing covers takes off, especially with the help of someone special.

Courtney is still trying to fight her feelings for her soon to be step brother, Brett, but there is an undeniable connection between them that is getting harder and harder to ignore. While everything is going pretty smooth for Courtney some truths are revealed and her whole world is rocked.

Peyton, Peyton, Peyton, always doing what she shouldn’t, when she shouldn’t, and always enjoying the thrill of it. And I’d have to say she’s pretty damn entertaining. Peyton gets into some trouble this book, not too much, she also creates some trouble.

Madison has had a pretty great summer, but when she does a school project her world comes crashing down around her. Madison was my favorite this time around, she goes through some heavy things, and she builds strength and courage that I loved to watch.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong sisterhood, Gossip Girl, and some great high school and not so high school drama. I for one wasn’t fully hooked onto this series until this book but I’m glad my curiosity got the best of me and I read it. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

  1. The strong sisterhood is one of my favorite parts of this book. I really loved it! So much drama in this one. And that ending! Very much looking forward to book 3.
