Recap: @WizardWorld Fort Lauderdale!

When you think of Wizard World Comic Con you think about all they amazing guest they manage to add to their roster and let me tell you their stop at The Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale did not disappoint! William Shatner, James Marsters, Sean Astin and Dean Cain were just a few of the many amazing guest stars that were at the conventions this weekend. There were plenty of panels to choose from and the space where the celebrity Q&A’s was happening made it seem that much more intimate. A couple pop culture references, movies, television, cosplay, comics, graphic novels, toys, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more Wizard World Comic Con Ft. Lauderdale had it all!

Cosplayers were out in full effect this weekend! Looking at all the work people put into their outfit is truly mind blowing. Some were store bought, but more than half were handcrafted. The hours and commitment are all worth it according to many of them only because they love putting their creative mind to work and also the costume contest at the end of the night doesn’t hurt either. Who wouldn’t want to get recognition for all of their work? Deadpool seems like the ever popular go to attire and I can only imagine by this time next year every Halloween costume will be Deadpool. I’m not even mad about that.

With all the amazing vendors and artist it was hard trying not to spend all your money. I ended up coming home with three Funko’s, four prints that I am legit still dying about and way too many fandom related pieces. I feel like there was a variety of things to choose from that it really attributed to every age. You have the ever popular Doctor Who items, some seriously amazing Disney coasters (I’m regretting not buying those), Funko’s for miles and comics that were never ending. I sometimes wish I had a creative bone in my body because I am in awe of some the things these amazing people come up with.

Wizard World Comic Con will be back in Florida next year in Orlando on August 5-7, 2016 at The Orange County Convention Center so make sure to keep an eye on that over at Wizard World.
