The Wives, where do I even begin with this one?  Soooo, I finished reading this book a week ago and I haven't stopped saying "WTF" since.  Leave it to Tarryn Fisher to have my mind all kinds of messed up, in the best way possible.

I have to be vague here but at first I didn't like Thursday.  She was annoying to me and I just wanted to SCREAM at her to wake UP!!  I saw a past version of myself a little bit in Thursday and it definitely stirred several different emotions.  As time went on, my appreciation for Thursday grew.  Her persistence in getting to the bottom of things made me happy.  I was rooting for her.  Then, Tarryn Fisher pulled the rug from under my feet.

I loved this book, I loved every freaking second of it.  I loved the thrill, the annoyance, the DISCOMFORT because let me tell you there was some hella discomfort, and I loved the ending.  W T F.

I am rating this book 5 stars because it is so freaking good.  I finished it in 3 days because I had to take a couple of breaks from the overwhelming need to smack some of the characters.  This book was a crazy, effed up, amazing story written by one of my favorites so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO GET THIS IT.

HOLY SHIT. I have to start my review off this way. Just. Holy. Shit. This is my very first book by Traci Finlay and it will most certainly NOT be my last.

The Falling of Stars was an all consuming book. I read it in one day. I could not put it down. I have been in a reading funk lately and this book was the answer. From the very first page I was hooked.

Most books I’ve been reading lately have been a bit predictable so to say I was at the edge of my seat the whole time is an understatement. This was a dual point of view book, which is my favorite kind of writing. The characters were so complex and well written. I’m seriously at a loss for words.

I’m giving this book FIVE HUGE STARS because it was that good. I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s seriously still staying with me. It’s one of those mind blowing stories. One of those books you can’t stop thinking about. One click this book immediately. Also go follow Traci Finlay on every platform because she is one to watch.

The Wife Between Us is perfect for those that love your typical thrillers. This one will surely mess with your mind, while you sit there and try to figure out all the puzzle pieces. You won't be able to, trust me. The plot twist(s) are not what you expect. The story starts out a little slow but eventually you start to get deeper into the thriller. Then you have to finish the book to know the final puzzle piece and I bet you, it's not what you thought.

I was not blown away by this book and at one point, I might have even give this book 3 trees, but then it finally had some great "twists" and that sealed the 4 trees. You'll get a couple plot twists that will make this book what it is. If you find it slow or flat at first, keep reading, you'll get to the twists in no time. You will be kept guessing, the authors really did take care of that part. You might find this book can compare to others you have read, but you'll still enjoy reading it.

The characters in The Wife Between Us aren't all faves, but some have really good chemistry while others fall annoying. I really enjoyed Nellie, but Vanessa becomes a person, I would like to throat punch at times. But I guess, this might be a good ingredient in a psychological thriller, right? That means the characters, good or bad, got under my skin.

I won't disclose much of the story, because then I would be spoiling it and that's a big No-No. Vanessa is the ex-wife of Richard, who is engaged to Nellie. Vanessa went from living the high life, to now having to work a 9-5 and living with her aunt. Then to add salt to the wound, the young girlfriend Richard left her for, she finds out they are now engaged. This starts a mission for Vanessa, to break up the marriage between Nellie and Richard. Why is Vanessa so hung up on destroying everything for them since he was abusive? Well this is as much info as you will get from me. You'll have to pick up a copy to know what happens and what those twists are.

When you don't even know who you are, how do you know who to trust?

First I would like to mention how much I love this book cover. That cover was the reason, I actually wanted to know more about what it contained inside its pages. Isn't it amazing? Kuddos to the person/team behind the cover. 

Now on to the story, Boland did a fantastic job with this novel. I was so sure I knew where the story was going and how it would end, then Boom! She completely went someplace else with it. I never guessed the outcome she wrote. Total shocker that ending was. That's how you write a book, keep the reader in suspense the whole time. Without a doubt this book is going to be a nail-bitter when you read it. 

Can you imagine waking up and not knowing anything, not even your face. That must feel horrible. You follow along Mia's journey after she is found and doesn't remember anything after waking up. She was found on the beach with a bump on her head and completely memory loss. The boyfriend comes forward and is able to identify her, but she doesn't remember him or anyone for that matter. The police feel it's OK to let her leave in the boyfriend's care and hope that Mia begins to regain her memories to determine what happen to her. This is where things begin to take fold. Anything else I write would spoil the story. 

Little by little she begins to seek out people or places that might trigger some type of memory, but it's not really working out how she planned. She does begin to have some type of nightmare, which freaks her out because it feels too real. I would be freaking out myself, if you start picturing a ghostly women coming at you that looks angry. I might never go back to sleep again. 

The Girl From The Sea is a book to read, join Mia in discovering herself again. Will Mia go back to the person she was before the accident? Or will she begin a whole new life different from what she has been described? And who will she keep by her side this time? Pick up a copy today!
