He’s the love of her life, but he doesn’t know it. She’s his one moment of sacrifice in a lifetime of survival.

He was damaged and wild, but resilient. She’s always been obedient. Now she’s restless.

Home for the summer between college and med school, Pearl Torres Frank knows two things: Boyce Wynn is the embodiment of everything she should run from, and everything she wants to run to. Rebellious and loud. Unconcerned with society’s opinion of him. Passionate. Strong. Dangerous.

And one more trait he hides from everyone but her:
Sweet.
Excerpt

Boyce watched me, a lit cigarette in one hand and a koozied beer in the other. We hadn’t spoken since that kiss, other than his usual juvenile quips during biology—the ones that drove Mel and Mr. Quinn insane and made Landon smirk and shake his head and had me biting the inside of my cheek to suppress my smile.

At first, I’d been confused, then disappointed, and then angry. I’d worked my way to acceptance, like when I’d known I was drowning and there was nothing I could do. He’d merely gone back to being Boyce Wynn, who did what he wanted and who he wanted. And I’d gone back to being Pearl Frank—star student, social royalty, good girl.

But I couldn’t forget that kiss. The fixed glint of his eyes across the fire said that neither could he.

Breakable
Contours of the Heart #2
Author: Tammara Webber
Reading Level: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary
Released: May 6th 2014
Review Source: Penguin Berkley

He was lost and alone. Then he found her.
And the future seemed more fragile than ever.

As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise — until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.

All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…

As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.

How amazing is it to open a book to find out you've been quoted? I freaked out! It is an amazing feeling =D

As a fan of Easy, I couldn’t wait to dive into Breakable. I wanted to get inside Luca’s mind from the moment I found out about this book. And the cover is to die for! I wanted to know what he was thinking in some of my favorite scenes of Easy. I mean who wouldn’t want to get into his head? After reading Easy, every woman would go gaga for him! He is hot, mysterious, smart; talented… the list goes on and on. Now you understand why I couldn’t wait for Breakable? Well, we get this and a little more! Double the win for Easy fans!

Okay, I am not going to lie. I had a pretty hard time getting into Lucas’ mind. Maybe because Breakable alternative from point of views and you know how I go crazy with this. Well, yes, not only do we get to read about Lucas but of Landon… As any Easy fans would know, Landon is Lucas but before his mother died… (Oopsy, spoiler alert). Enough with giving the story away, but we come to learn more about his past and how this broken child turns into a beautiful gentleman. How awesome is this? Not only do you get a steaming hot gentleman but a character that changes throughout rough experiences that life throws at him. You truly come to know Lucas.

The best thing about Breakable is that it can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read Easy. Seriously, this book is as freaking amazing. Even if you read Easy, you want to get your hands on a copy of Breakable. Lucas is on high demand for a reason! Every Easy fan needed to know more about him and Tammara Webber delivered just another powerful story. So get on, go buy Breakable!

Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.

I really enjoyed reading this book and absolutely adore Lucas. One can easily fall in love with him.

The story begins the night a stranger, later to be known as Lucas, saves Jacqueline from being attacked. In addition to this event, she was dumped by her boyfriend of three years. Devastated she cannot find herself facing her ex in class and decides to skip for two weeks. Later she realizes no guy is worthy of failing class and tries to catch up. She is connected with the class tutor, Landon, and they go back and forth communicating with one another. Jacqueline finds herself attracted by both Lucas and Landon.

What I like about Jacqueline is that is she is smart, strong and is willing to pretend the “attack” never happened. Not many can do this, pretend. After this event, she sees Lucas everywhere. The attraction and chemistry between these two is undeniable. Then Landon, although they never met, she feels herself connecting with him.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters, mainly Lucas. He is the perfect man every girl out there deserves. He is mysterious and dark, polite, strong with a sexy body, smart and most of all very responsible. He is spontaneous and talented. He is very protective of Jacqueline. One of my favorite parts of this book is when he tells Jacqueline he doesn’t want to be the rebound guy. He wants more and expects more, he is very sincere. Like I said, he is the perfect man!

I met Webber at Book Bash and seriously she is incredibly talented. I love her writing style, the way she builds up the story, and the details she provides about her characters. The story deals with a sensitive subject and the way she balances this it’s just extraordinary. If you haven’t read this book, I recommend that you add this to your list.
