The Epidemic is a page turner as well as the other books of this series. If you haven't read The Program series, I highly suggest to start soon. The Program series is full of surprises and twists and heartbreaks and so much more!

The Remedy ends in a shocking way. Quinn, our main character and closer, learns she's not Quinn. If you're asking yourself, what's a closer, then you need the book! Okay, I'll be nice, a closer is a person hired by a family to take the role of a deceased teen. The closer is able to prepare the family and help them admit their love one is gone. As learns the truth of her identity, or at least that she's not Quinn, she decides to find out the details of her past.

The Epidemic was a crazy ride! Quinn is an unstoppable human being. The girl has guts and is able to escape with no trace. Well, somewhat. I love her cleverness and determination but what I enjoyed most is the fact that she needs to find out the truth but is able to take time from her investigation to help out a friend in need. With her kindness, she is able to discover more than expected. She learns the source of teens killing themselves (which The Program is about) and discover some crazy things I cannot say. Honestly, this was such a twist turning story. So go start The Program or The Remedy as this is a prequel.

Overall, I enjoyed The Epidemic. Suzanne Young is a great story teller and is able to hook you into a depressing series. Quinn and Deacon are amazing characters. They're not perfect but like Deacon, if one redeems and is truly sorry, life can take a turn. Which is the important aspect of life. Learning from your mistake and doing better. I loved how Quinn was able to forgive him and learns to trust him again. A great story with a meaningful message. Go read it.

Hi Suzanne, thank you for this interview. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I’ve been writing since I was in sixth grade, although I killing off all of your friends in a murder mystery can only make you so popular. I have a BA in Creative Writing and teach high school English. THE PROGRAM was my third series.

What influence you to write The Program series? Why such heavy subject?
Personal experience mixed with an exaggerated vision of the future. I read about suicide clusters, outbreaks, and epidemics. I read about lobotomies and the fact that they were an acceptable form of treatment. I wanted to tell a story that wasn’t my own, but could convey the loneliness I felt, the overwhelming loss, and the fact that I came through on the other side. 

Is there a message that you want readers to grasp?
That there is always hope, even when it feels like you’re in the middle of a crisis. We can’t always see it. My wish is that this series gives them the bit of light they need to get through the dark.

What were your biggest challenges in writing The Remedy?
Researching grief counseling. The treatments in the book are based on actual grief counseling approaches, so I wanted to make sure I understood the process well. 

What are you working on now and can you share that with me?
I’m working on THE EPIDEMIC, the sequel to THE REMEDY. I’m also thinking out a short story about Sloane and James. 

Can you give a hint of what's to come?
THE EPIDEMIC will shed light on the start of The Program, but it will also show what Quinn has been through up until this point. There are some serious WTF moments to come.

How can I put together thoughts after finishing The Remedy? How? Suzanne Young you went beyond my expectations with this one.

Its been days since I’ve read The Remedy and the story still lingers. This is by far my favorite book of the series. I need more. I need more like my life depends on Suzanne’s words.

Seriously, I was blown away. I cried. Boy, did I cry. This one had me bawling like with “A Child Called It”. I laughed. HA! With the many tears I cried, who would’ve thought the same book could make me laugh. But God, the tears.

The grief and sorrow Quinn goes through impersonation Catalina’s life… God. I never enjoy such misery. Such a bittersweet taste. When you read The Remedy, you will transformed into Quinn. I know I did. The more she learned about Catalina’s life, the more I wanted to be her. It’s an addiction. It was so easy to connect with her.

I loved Quinn. She is bright and very much dedicated to her job. No matter how sick her job is. Like who in their right mind wants to take role of a deceased loved one? Just to have the family say goodbye one last time. I wouldn’t be able to deal with this. And now with her new case, Quinn needs to deal with a boyfriend. This had her out of control. Having a boyfriend. Not even in her "real" life did she ever have a boyfriend. This one role was already hard for her. To add an additional person to help cope... was something she did not expect. But OMG… Isaac.

God, Isaac. His devotion towards Catalina was so beautiful. At such young age, he mourned for someone so dear. How he blamed himself for her death…. I am crying. This one scene with Isaac broke me to pieces. I was a puddle of tears.

If I go on, I will spoil the story.

Bravo  Suzanne, bravo. With the twist and turn of the story, I was pulling my hair out. The Remedy surely blow me away. It was truly something I did not expect. It knocked me out and I was left in awe.

The Remedy is a MUST read.

P.S. Suzanne - This one will be hard to top. Now hit me with your best shot. Give me more of this crazy and heartbreaking world.
