Winning Screenwriters of the "Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga"



The winners have been announced!

The top 6 winners have been announced on EW.com and the full screenplays will be available on Tongal for all to read. Congrats to all the winners, especially to Cullen & Megan! 
  • “The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear follows Alice and the events that led to her becoming a vampire.
  • “Sunrise” by Alanna Smith tells Benjamin’s story.
  • “Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson is about Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.
  • “The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear focuses on Alice’s human life before she became a vampire.
  • “Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler & Megan L. Reese tells Jane and Alec’s story. (friends of OUaT)
  • “We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green is all about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.
More than 1200 submissions were made and due to the high quality of all the submissions, Lionsgate decided to choose 6 winners instead of 5. The following categories will still choose 5 winners each; directors/shorts.

Now Live: New Voices of The Twilight Saga - The Storytellers - Kristen Stewart



Recently it was announced that THE TWILIGHT SAGA would be returning in short film form, premiering exclusively on Facebook! The films will be produced and directed with the mentorship of a blue chip panel of advisors, which will ultimately select the winning shorts that will premiere exclusively on Facebook next year.

 The star-studded group of female panelists will include Stephenie Meyer, actress Kristen Stewart, Academy Award winners Kate Winslet and Octavia Spencer, Jennifer Lee, the award-winning writer and co-director of Disney’s global blockbuster Frozen, Emmy Award-winning actress Julie Bowen, and Women in Film President Cathy Schulman.

Phase 1 of The Storytellers has begun over at the contest’s official website. There you can vote on which “Twilight” character’s origin story you would like to see transformed into a short film for Facebook.

Head to the contest website for The Storytellers now to vote, and choose which character you want to hear from when “The Twilight Saga” continues.
