The Twilight Book We Have Been Waiting 12 Years For!!! - MIDNIGHT SUN

12 Years after the online leak of Midnight Sun
Stephenie Meyer will finally publish the novel that we gave hope on.

AUGUST 4, 2020

We have been getting teased with a countdown on Meyer's website for days, many were speculating but not holding their hopes high. Well now we know and what a sweet surprise it was. Twilight Fans worldwide are rejoicing with this news. We are finally going to get to read Edward's perspective when he meets Bella. I think binge reading is expected just like we did for Twilight

Honestly after 12 years, it's going to feel so new, fresh and amazing to revisit once again Forks and this love story. I don't know about you guys, but this news was great especially during this whole pandemic we have been dealing with this year.

Stephenie Meyer:
“I am very excited to finally, finally announce the release of Midnight Sun on 4 August,” Meyer said, in a prerecorded video broadcast on Good Morning America. “It’s a crazy time right now and I wasn’t sure it was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so so long it didn’t seem right to make you wait any more.”
If you are trying to visit Meyer's website now, it crashed within seconds. stepheniemeyer.com

What was your reaction when finding out about Midnight Sun?

Happy 10th Anniversary TWILIGHT!

Happy 10th Anniversary Twilight!

It seems unreal that Twilight hit bookshelves 10 years ago. Feels like just the other day I swooning over Edward and vicariously living in Forks, WA and La Push beach.

You have heard this may times in the last 10 years and you'll continue to as the years pass. Twilight was a blessing in disguise as a book. Never would I have imagined that a young adult fiction story would change my life forever. Sounds crazy, but Twilight affected the course my life would take from the moment I read it. I would not be where I am today without having read Twilight

It wasn't just about a book, it was about the love story, the impact of the story, the people I sought out after reading this story that understood the withdrawal, the friends that became life long friends, the creation of this site, the many Twilight inspired trips I have taken all over this country, what I read since Twilight, the list can go on and on. It doesn't sound like much, but when you are new to a state where you know no one and all your friends and family are thousands of miles away and all you think about is why, then Twilight happens and you begin to meet people locally and even in other states and you go from knowing no one, to having this large Twilight family of friends that make getting up everyday more tolerable and 10 years later, those friends are still there and will continue to be there. I want someone to argue with me that Twilight did not change my life.

Once Upon a Twilight is here because of Twilight, just like the tag line says "A Book Began The Bond of A Lifetime". This blog exist thanks to Twilight and my Twilight friends that encouraged me to start a blog so that I could share my Twilight trips and share my thoughts on whatever book I was reading. So if you are a fan of this site, then thank Twilight because if not Once Upon a Twilight would have never existed. And I know for a fact many of the authors and books you love today exist because of Twilight and how they were also affected in some way!

I'm sharing this quote that a friend (which Twilight brought us together) posted today:
You don't have to like the books, but respect the fact that through this book series, lives were changed, touched, and affected. - Lauren
So join me today in celebrating these 10 years!!!

Recap: @FloridaSupercon 2015!

OUaT had the opportunity to attend Florida Supercon this past weekend and let me tell you guys what an absolute blast is was to cover this event. I’ve been going to this event for the past four years and it just keeps on getting better! If you missed it no worries we have you covered. Now in its tenth year, Florida Supercon, one of the country’s largest comic convention and pop culture events, returned to Miami Beach this past weekend. The 4-day event had something for everyone, from celebrity guests, comic book creators, voice actors, industry guests, panels, Q&As, film screenings, cosplay and so much more.

One of my favorite things about Florida Supercon is the people. The people that attend get so creative with their cosplay, it’s amazing to see the amount of time they put into everything. I saw many Doctor’s because come one who wouldn’t want to be him. Deadpool was also very popular. To the point that I saw a Loki start a canga line with only Deadpool’s behind him. It was pretty hysterical. It’s basically the one time where you can bring out that Stormtrooper costume you have in the back of your closet wear it  all day and have people come up to you and ask for a picture. I’d say that makes you one of the cool kids. My favorite this year had to be the family dressed up as all Marvel character. Baby Thor was beyond adorable!

Many people flocked at the chance to meet some of their favorites. From Hayley Atwell to Tom Kenny (who voices Spongebob Squarepants!) to one of our personal faves Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley. Guys, if you haven’t started The 100 do yourself a favor sit on the couch this weekend and put on Netflix the first season is up there. Watch it you won’t regret it! Also it was quite a surprise to realize there are so many The 100 fans down here. I feel like that fandom is silently growing in the shadows. Not only was real life Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) there, but so was my favorite princess Belle (Emilie de Ravin). If you ever get the chance to meet her try not to stare. Her eyes are mesmerizing!

The panels were probably the highlight for me this year. Manu Bennett was quite the surprise. I had the chance to go to his Q&A panel on Thursday and let me tell you I learned something I never knew. Manu was a professional dancer.... Can you imagine Slade Wilson busting out into swan lake? Yeah, let that sink in. The ever so handsome Brett Dalton decided it would be an awesome idea (which it was!) to crash Hayley Atwell's panel and listening to Jason Mewes had us dying laughing. Sunday morning we were up way too early because the ever so lovely Karen Gillian was  actually opening up the con that day.

So many amazing artist could be found on the floor. From hand painted art to some incredible digital prints. You had a variety of options to choose from and let’s not forget some of the  magnificent handcrafted pieces. I kind of feel in love with some of the hair pieces and let me not even get started on the skirts I managed to find. Seriously hats of to all you amazingly creative people who can make such astounding things from scratch. I envy you!

For the East coast this is our San Diego Comic-Con and I am proud to say that it does not disappoint. 51,000 graced the convention center halls over the 4 days--nearly a 20% increase over last year's show (43,000) and I only see it increasing more in the years to come. If you get the chance I highly suggest coming out next year. If this year is any indication, 2016 is sure to top the years prior.

All type of fandoms collide at Florida Supercon. Not one is better than the other. We celebrate our inner fangirl/fanboy without any judgement and get to celebrate the true nature of being a geek. From gamers to comic book junkies add a bit of pop culture lovers and that is what makes up Florida Supercon.

*Make sure to check back with us on Friday for our The 100 recap! We might have gone a bit overboard with that panel.... Better for you guys right?! Here's a preview of what's to come. ;)

From Arrow to Doctor Who @FLSupercon has everything for you!

Hey guys do we have some news for you! I have a bit of good and bad so I'll hit you with the good first. Do we have any Arrow fans? If you've been keeping up to date with the guest list than you know Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke) was already going to the con. Well it looks like another villain has decided to join the fun and not just any villain either. Matthew Nable, Ra’s Al Ghul himself will be at this years Florida Supercon! I'm kind of excited about this since I missed Manu the last time he was here and you have to admit he was a pretty awesome Slade. Season 2 of Arrow is still my favorite. ;)

Matt Nable will be appearing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Manu Bennett will be appearing on Thursday and Friday only! Don't miss meeting both of them together of Friday, June 26. Both Matt and Manu will be signing autographs and taking part in professional photo ops (8×10 glossy photos printed on site) for a fee. They will both be taking part in a Q&A open to all attendees. PRE-ORDER your Photo Ops at https://register.growtix.com/e/florida_supercon_2015/479.

Now on to a very familiar face, Mr. Michael Welch (Mike Newton! You may also know him as Mack Thompson in Z Nation), has also been added to the con! I have con to many cons where he has attended and let me tell you his Q&A's are always my favorite thing. He is beyond funny and such a humble character. Michael will be appearing in support of the The Significance Series, part of the Geek Film Festival. Michael will be attending all 4 days, Thursday thru Sunday to meet with fans. If you happen to be at the con I highly recommend stopping by to see him you won't regret it!

The latest major additions are WWE® Superstar Daniel Bryan®, WWE® Diva Paige™, and WWE® Superstar Kane®. You read that right! A couple of friends of mine are pretty excited about this bit of news. Let's just say that VIP experience is a must for Daniel Bryan. For more information on that go to https://register.growtix.com/e/florida_supercon_2015/479 to purchase autograph, photo op, and VIP Experience Tickets.

Now I need a moment before I give you guys this news. Have to mentally prepare myself for it.

For the not bad, but sad news. My beloved Billie Piper (ROSE!!!!!) and Shawn Ashmore have had to cancel their appearance at Florida Supercon due to filming commitments. This makes me such a sad panda because I recently got into Doctor Who (Yes, I know I'm like 2836283 years late.) and season two broke me. So many tears were shed. No lie. Who would've thought I'd get so many feels from a really odd, weird and somehow amazing show?

Something good does follow that bit though..... Are you ready? Karen Gillan will be appearing that Sunday!!! Here's a bit from Supercon if you have already bought a Saturday pass.

"For any Doctor Who fans who have a Saturday ticket, and would like to change to Sunday to see Karen Gillan, we have had our ticketing company work out an option to handle the change in ticket. To do this, go to your email confirmation, click "View your order online." On the next screen, select "Click to customize and print your tickets."

Once Upon a Robert Pattinson Encounter!

We meet again, Robert Pattinson. This is a night I will forever remember.

Let me start by saying, I was aware the last tour of FKA Twigs was set to be in Miami all because of my best friend's boyfriend. He is a fan of hers. I honestly respect Rob's personal life. I know he was dating her and that's about it. So when my friend told me she was coming down here, I started to pay attention whether if he will be following her or not.

On the day of the concert, my friend texts me and reminds me the concert was tonight *date of concert*... minutes before I walked out of my house. Mind you, I was not dress appropriate nor had my gadgets with me. (Trust me, I have good ones).

As the day proceeded, I kept going on Twitter to see if there were any signs of Rob following her down here. By noon, someone tweeted he was previously in Orlando with her. Okay - that was my go. I bought the ticket and told my friends I would meet them.

5pm comes and I am off work. I checked Twitter and guess what?! There are pictures of Rob and Twig in Miami. I was overjoyed even if I had to drive an hour south with heavy traffic. He is SO WORTH driving down to the hell of Miami.

An hour plus minutes, I arrived... with no parking money! I was completely unprepared. No camera, no money with business attire and my iPhone 6. Yup, so unprepared for this concert.

Walked in, got a beer and told my friends to keep their eyes open for ROB. Thankfully, they are used to my craziness. I've been to 5 World Premiere all because of him.

  • Remember Me
  • Eclipse
  • Water for Elephant
  • Breaking Dawn Pt. 1
  • Breaking Dawn Pt. 2
Along with many other events. So yeah... they know I will stay out while it is freezing and RAINING and get SICK just for Robert Pattinson.

So yeah about this concert.... I still do not know who performed that night. My attention was only to Rob! LOL

The thing about this is Twig was late. EXTREMELY LATE. I wanted to leave but I am glad I stayed. It was a little over 11pm when she finally walked out. The moment the lights went off, I looked over the side of the stage and spotted him. I GOT EAGLE EYES FOR ROB. I walked to his area and stood behind him while I freaked out texting my friend that I'd found him.

I tried getting pictures but he is so tall and it was dark, I couldn't see where I was pointing. This is why I needed my gadgets.

I couldn't wait and I asked him for a picture... Unfortunately it didn't come out as I hoped as the other pictures.

Though I did not get the picture, I'd finally met DRUNK Rob. He was the one I wanted to meet for so long. He is as adorable as ever. He's funnier (per fans encounters) and just simply irresistible. I was inner fangirling and I just couldn't believe I was now in front/next to him.

Throughout Twigs' performance, Rob was clapping and cheering for her. Someone told him he should be proud of her, he said yes. It was adorable just seeing his devotion to her.

But my favorite part of the night was when he defended his fans. Like seriously, ROB IS PERFECT! I know some of us are insane but Rob appreciates our devotions. I am proud to part of his 1%

As far at her performance, I tried getting some pictures. As mentioned, I am short, so it was hard to get pictures while multiple of people are in front of you.

Even if fans asked for pictures, Rob never said no. I know he wanted to enjoy the concert but to say the least, Rob you are pretty amazing to your fans. AND WE ALL THANK YOU!

At the end of the concert, my friend shook Rob's hand and told him - "You have great taste in music". Rob's face was priceless but it will be a moment I will forever remember.
