The end of the world didn’t happen overnight. After years of war, societal breakdown, freak storms, and rising tides, humanity already hovered near the edge. Then came the most unexpected threat of all: the world’s corpses rising up to deliver the final blow.

Born into this bleak and bloody landscape, twelve-year-old Julie struggles to hold on to hope as she and her parents drive across the wastelands of America on a nightmarish road trip in search of a new home.

Hungry, lost, and terrified, sixteen-year-old Nora finds herself her brother’s sole guardian after her parents abandon them in the not-quite-empty ruins of Seattle.

And in the darkness of a forest, a dead man opens his eyes. Who is he? What is he? With no clues beyond a red tie and the letter “R,” he must unravel the grim mystery of his existence—right after he learns how to think, how to walk, and how to satisfy the monster howling in his belly…

First I'd like to start by saying that I have not read Warm Bodies. I know, I know shame on me! But more on this later…

The New Hunger follows three characters: Julie, Nora, and R. It's a prequel that takes seven years before Warm Bodies. The apocalypse has just taken place and the dead are just starting to rise. Julie is 12 and along with her parents, is trying to find safe shelter. Nora is 16 and has become her brother's guardian after their parents abandoned them. R is just waking up and trying to figure out who or what he is.

I loved this novella! Having seen the movie, I was familiar with the characters. I loved getting to know each and every one of them and learning their backstories. Let's also mention how amazing Isaac Marion's writing is. It is so easy to lose yourself in!

Back to Warm Bodies now. I am picking it up to read as I type. Am I kind of glad I held off this long? Sure. I'm slightly OCD, so reading the books in this order pleases me! If you haven't read Warm Bodies, pick up The New Hunger. If you have read Warm Bodies, pick up The New Hunger. Either way, pick it up!

Next books in the series will be:

The Burning World - 7/5/2016

The Living - 2017

Check out HERE what Isaac Marion said about the sequels!

On to Divergent news:

Deadline Hollywood reports that Summit Entertainment has narrowed it down and tested 4 actors for "Four". The guys mentioned are Luke Bracey (Monte Carlo), Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) , Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and Jack Reynor (Transformer 4).

News of who came out strong with great chemistry with Shailene Woodley (Tris) has not be said yet.

As far as who to me looks like "Four" would probably be Brenton or Lucas if they darken his hair. They would be decent choices. Of course the person you chose as your favorite characters usually never looks like who was casted. I would also be more than ok if Max Irons or Drew Roy were chosen. They look more like "Four" to me.

Then on Examiner, they mention Hypable talked about reports confirming Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), Lucas Till and Jeremy Irvine have auditioned for "Four". I can't see Alex as four, No No No!

Warm Bodies Google+ Hangout Video

WARM BODIES Official Google+ Hangout

This past Saturday Clever TV and the cast of WARM BODIES hung out via Google+ hangout. They invited 10 bloggers/media personal to asked the cast questions live. Once Upon a Twilight was amongst those invited. Ana from the OUaT team participated with others such as Lauren Suero, Jeremy West and more.

Ana had a wonderful time participating even if she did have microphone technical difficulties. The Clever TV host still asked her question even though her microphone and camera didn't work. So when you listen and here Ana Jordan from West Palm Beach, FL that's our Ana.

Lisa, Jen and I were able to see an advance screening of WARM BODIES back in November in Los Angeles and we loved it. The movie is super cute and funny. We have not read the book, so we don't exactly know how it compares. It a film everyone can see and enjoy.

Enjoy watching the cast of WARM BODIES answer questions and have small talk. WARM BODIES stars Teresa Palmer (Six from I Am Number Four), Nicholas Hoult (Beast from X-Men: First Class) and Rob Corddry (Lou from Hot Tub Time Machine).

Ana and I and everyone here at Once Upon a Twilight want to say Thanks to Summit Entrainment, Clever TV and the cast of Warm Bodies. It was a great experience.
