This was my 1st read of the new year and also for the Debit Author Challenge. Overall the book was good. It kept a normal pace for me. It did have a few moments that were nerve racking but other than that it was easy to follow along. I think that if this would have been made into a series then I would have been able to LOVE this book. I think that by making it a stand alone book, a lot was thrown in and it seems a bit rushed to fit everything in 200+ pages. The ending came off a bit weak to me. The storyline I did like, Cameron created a unique water world that I haven't read about in any other books. 

The main character Vera is a meant to be a fighter but somehow comes off a bit weak to me. Her brother Will is older and he is nicely written. They basically go on a hunt to find Vera's new friend that knows of a place with fresh water. By them knowing that piece of information its very special. That kind of information is worth millions more than gold or diamonds. So they set off to find Kai that is missing. They go on this crazy journey that is pretty much doomed from the first second and get hunted down and so forth. I recommend reading the book if you are a fan of Dystopian and Science Fiction. This book definitely will please you. 

The cover was well represented. It grab my attention before I began reading. The way they incorporated the splashes and the face, go hand in hand with the story inside the pages.
