Booking Through Thursday: 4/28/11

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly event hosted HERE. A Weekly meme about (mostly) books and reading.

If you could see one book turned into the perfect movie–one that would capture everything you love, the characters, the look, the feel, the story–what book would you choose?

Yara's Answer: Its really hard to just pick one book, there are so many great books Ive read just in the last year or so that are perfect for a movie. Each one is a different genre of course. So i think I will just name a few books instead.
  • Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton - for its paranormal aspects and New Orleans scenery
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - Great contemporary book and Paris = Love
  • Nightshade by Andrea Cremer - Love, Paranormal, Fantasy and so much more
  • Wither by Lauren De Stefano - Dystopian would never go wrong on film
  • The Iron King by Julie Kagawa - Multitude of Fey and beautiful scenery make for a beauty
So these are just a few, I know I left out other great ones. I would literally fill this page and never stop. The talent that we have been reading in the last year if phenomenal, and 2011 is coming out strong as well. Im sure we will start seeing many of our favorites hit the big screen or get a TV series.

  1. I haven't read Anna and the French Kiss (it's on the list). From what I've read of it, it sounds like terrific movie material.

  2. Wither would make a fabulous movie.

    Here's mine:

  3. They all sound pretty good.

Stop and see mine and my giveaways:

  4. Ooooh I'd like to see an Anna and the French Kiss movie it would be so cute.
