Summary: (from goodreads) For eighteen year-old Gemma, life has never been normal. Up until recently, she has been incapable of feeling emotion. And when she's around Alex, the gorgeous new guy at school, she can feel electricity that makes her skin buzz. Not to mention the monsters that haunt her nightmares have crossed over into real-life. But with Alex seeming to hate her and secrets popping up everywhere, Gemma's life is turning into a chaotic mess. Things that shouldn't be real suddenly seem to exist. And as her world falls apart, figuring out the secrets of her past becomes a matter of life and death.

I absolutely love the cover of the book. Gemma’s eyes are wickedly gorgeous! LOL What an amazing story The Fallen Star is. Witches, vampires, fortunetellers, faeries, demons and the underworld, what more can a paranormal book lover ask for? Absolutely nothing, because it has everything I love to read about in a book!

Gemma is a unique 18 year old girl who never had any sort of emotions or feelings. All she can remember of her past is that her parents died in a car accident when she was a year old, well she doesn’t know that for a fact, that’s what Marco and Sophia, her cold hearted grandparents, told her. One day, she started having these nightmares of these back creatures with yellow eyes that were set out to kill her. She was terrified because these dreams felt so real. Then one day while at her favorite class, Astronomy, two new students, Alex and Aislen Avery were introduced to the class. Ever since the first day she met Alex, she started having these electrical feelings throughout her body which of course, she had no idea what those feelings were. Gemma also had a feeling that Alex could feel the electricity too, but she just didn’t know how to ask him without him thinking she was crazy. Well crazy is the adventure she will have to face. An adventure filled with lies and secrets and scary looking creatures with yellows eyes that are after her just like in her dreams. Will she find out what really happened to her parents or will the scary yellow eyed creatures get to her first? You just have to read the book to find out. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.

The Fallen Star was an amazing story from beginning to end. But I have to warn you, the ending was a huge cliffhanger and it left me wanting more. It’s a good thing her next book in the series will be out July 31, 2011. I can not wait to read it and find out what happens to Gemma. This is a great first book in the series, so go out and get it. Enjoy!

  2. I can't imagine what if witches, vampires, fortunetellers, faeries, demons and the underworld all in one book. Wow. For the paranormal lovers, that would be good. But for the average person like me, I don't think that was a good idea.

However, I like the cover and the premise! Thank for the review
