Once Upon a Book Signing!

Today we welcome Traci from The Reading Geek blog. Let see who she has gone to see at a book signing.

My most memorable book signing was with author Cassandra Clare at the Clockwork Prince release party on December 6, 2011. The signing began with a very special appearance by Ed Westwick, who does the voice for the Clockwork Prince audio book and plays Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl. Ed started off with a brief introduction about what it was like recording the audio books and then he introduced Cassandra. Cassandra came on stage and answered some fan questions which led to some hilarious stories about being trapped in an elevator and cannibal ducks.

I was at the end of the line but when it finally came time to get my books signed, Cassandra was such an easy person to talk to. She asked me about my favorite characters in the books and I immediately replied with Will and Jace. She laughed and commented on how I seem to like the bad boys which then led us into a brief discussion of Will versus Jem. I think that this will always be my most memorable book signing because I was lucky enough to not only attend the release party for my favorite book, but also meet my favorite author. (Oh and of course the very special surprise with the gorgeous Ed Westwick just made it even better!)
