Pens! Camera! ACTION!: #Obsidian Optioned for the Big Screen! #ObsidianTheMovie

Hi everyone! I'm sure by now most of you have heard the exciting news. We shared this news on OUaT's sister site that I co-run RedCarpetEndings.com last night. But I just had to keep talking about it, this is such great news that finally a movie company saw what I have been saying should have happen a while ago.

The Lux Series was made for the big screen. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a mastermind at what she does and her books would translate very well on the big screen. I'm stoked that Sierra Pictures will finance and produce the film adaptation of Obsidian, the first novel in the Lux series.

Sierra's Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg will executive produce the movie, with Sierra/Affinity handling international sales. Sierra/Affinity senior vp of production and acquisitions Kelly McCormick and senior vp of sales Kristen Figeroid were instrumental in bringing in the property. McCormick will oversee production.

I wonder who they will cast as Daemon. This is such an important choice, it will either make it or break it for some of us. So many of us are partial to Pepe (cover model) as Daemon, that I'm not sure how easily we can see someone else playing Daemon's role. Will just have to sit and wait and hope for the best. Regardless still extremely excited that this finally happened.

To celebrate the news, I am giving away 3 copies of Opal, the 3rd book in the Lux series. This giveaway is for US residents only.

  11. I will go see it but I am always very critical of movies made from books I have read...they rarely do the books justice.
