Pens! Camera! Action!: #Divergent First Look

This sunday on the Mtv Music Awards Pre-show, we finally got our first look which was a whole 60 seconds of #Divergent awesomeness. Is it March yet?

What did you see that you loved?

I personally loved seeing the symbol tattoos on Four's back while Tris touch them. Also who wouldn't love that kiss, I tweeted yesterday that they will be a future Best Kiss nominee on the Mtv Movie Awards, mark my words. The costumes and set designs are bad-ass. The jump, constricted my throat and it was only a sneak peek. I really cant wait to see this movie in its entirety. I haven't had such a reaction to a movie trailer since they first show us the Wolves in New Moon on Mtv too.

Pens! Camera! ACTION!: #Obsidian Optioned for the Big Screen! #ObsidianTheMovie

Hi everyone! I'm sure by now most of you have heard the exciting news. We shared this news on OUaT's sister site that I co-run RedCarpetEndings.com last night. But I just had to keep talking about it, this is such great news that finally a movie company saw what I have been saying should have happen a while ago.

The Lux Series was made for the big screen. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a mastermind at what she does and her books would translate very well on the big screen. I'm stoked that Sierra Pictures will finance and produce the film adaptation of Obsidian, the first novel in the Lux series.

Sierra's Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg will executive produce the movie, with Sierra/Affinity handling international sales. Sierra/Affinity senior vp of production and acquisitions Kelly McCormick and senior vp of sales Kristen Figeroid were instrumental in bringing in the property. McCormick will oversee production.

I wonder who they will cast as Daemon. This is such an important choice, it will either make it or break it for some of us. So many of us are partial to Pepe (cover model) as Daemon, that I'm not sure how easily we can see someone else playing Daemon's role. Will just have to sit and wait and hope for the best. Regardless still extremely excited that this finally happened.

To celebrate the news, I am giving away 3 copies of Opal, the 3rd book in the Lux series. This giveaway is for US residents only.

To view the 10 minute video, just go CLICK HERE to visit OUaT's sister site  (RedCarpetEndings.com) that I co-run about book adaptations. Your gonna love what both authors had to say.

Here is a small clip I also got of Richelle Mead discussing The Vampire Academy series:

Pens! Camera! ACTION!: Delirium - Fallen - Vampire Academy - Divergent

Pens! Camera! ACTION!

TV News for Delirium: We all found out recently that Delirium would be getting recording a pilot for TV. The latest on that is the Emma Roberts (Julia Robert's niece) got casted to be main lead of Lena. This was reported on Entertain Weekly HERE.

This really gets me all kinds of excited, I love the Delirium series. So its a wonderful day when one of your favorite series gets picked to be TV show (crossing fingers the pilot is a hit). So a big Thank you FOX for picking up this series from Lauren Oliver.

What do you think of Emma Roberts being casted as Lena?  Who do you think would be the perfect Alex?

Movie news for Fallen: Yes you heard that right. Fallen is headed towards the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter shared the news HERE. Director Scott Hicks is in final talks to direct Lauren Kate's book. Kathryn Price and Nicole Millard have adapted a screenplay in what Mayhem and IF Entertainment hope to be the beginning of a new popular film franchise. They are hoping it can be the next Twilight.

So are you excited to see Fallen in theaters? Who would you cast as Luce or Daniel?

Movie news for Vampire Academy: This news has been a long time coming. May of us even gave up at some point that it would happen. So I know this was a very welcome surprise to many fan's of Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series.

The news that was reported by Deadline HERE. "Reliance Entertainment and IM Global are co-financing the first installment of a new film franchise based on the six-volume Richelle Mead young adult novel series that will come to the screen as Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters." Yup you read that right, they are giving the film version a name change: Blood Sisters. I think the name works for the film.

Also with this news the 3 main characters of Vampire Academy were casted and announced at the same time. Zoey Deutch will play Rose, Lucy Fry will play Lissa and Danila Kozlovski will play Dimitri. This is one cast that I believe they nailed right from the start. Preger Entertainment is who made all this happen. Reliance will finance the film and sister company IM Global’s Ford is handling foreign sales and will broker domestic.

Movie news on Divergent: Summit Enterintment has added Divergent to their movie website. Can't get any more official than that. They have even design a logo, not sure if this will be the official logo or if we will see a updated look later on.

Divergent is set to release in theaters on March 21st, 2014. This is one red carpet that Once Upon a Twilight will not miss (Vampire Academy too). Summit Entertainment has also given Divergent an official Twitter and Facebook page too. So check those out for the latest on Divergent. See the Summit Divergent logo below:

Pens! Camera! ACTION!: Anna Dressed in Blood - Austenland - If I Stay

Pens! Camera! ACTION!

CLICK HERE to read previous Pens! Camera! ACTION posts.

Movie news for Anna Dressed in Blood: As reported in the Los Angeles Times. The film rights have been bought for Anna Dressed in Blood and guess by who? Stephenie Meyer and her production company Fickle Fish optioned the rights and have begin developing the film.

If your not familiar with Anna Dressed in Blood, its a YA paranormal ghost story. The book was released August of 2011. The series is called Anna and the sequel to Anna Dressed in Blood published August of 2012 and its called Girl of Nightmares. Tor Teen publishes this series.

Apparently Stephenie Meyer has no plans of writing a book anytime soon and will be concentrating on movies. She is producing The Host, which she wrote, Austenland written by Shannon Hale and she is in works also for Down a Dark Hall by Lois Duncan.

So what do you think of Anna Dressed in Blood hitting the big screen possibly or Stephenie Meyer producing?

Austenland movie news: As reported on The Hollywood Reporter, Austenland sells to Sony Pictures and for a whopping $4 million apparently. The film will be distributed by Sony Pictures Classics. The bidding took some time due to Stephenie Meyer not being available. The film was presented at 2013 Sundance Film Festival on January 18th.
Austenland is written by Shannon Hale and was published by Bloomsbury. The book was released May of 2007. Its a modern tale that fans of Mr. Darcy will like. The movie was produced by Stephenie Meyer and stars Kerri Russel. Kerri Russel plays thirty something year old Jane Hayes in the film. The movie was directed by Jerusha Hess and running time is 97 minutes.

Mtv caught up with Stephenie Meyer in Park City, UT and they asked her regarding a Austenland inspired twilight vacation spot. Stephenie Meyer responded: The Most Magical Place in Forks?"It would be so boring!" she told MTV News about the possibility of Twilightland. "What, would you go to high school? Would you have to go to high school for it? That's not a vacation. Sounds awful. I don't want to go back to high school."

So Twi-hards, we can forget about ever getting a Twilightland!

Are you going to watch Austenland when it hits theaters?

If I Stay movie news: If I Stay was optioned by Summit Entertainment for sometime now. The director has since changed from Catherine Hardwicke to Heitor Dhalia. As of yet, no cast has been confirmed.

On January 14th, Ana was able to attend the book signing for Gayle Forman's new release Just One Day in Coral Gables, Fl. Ana was part of the crowd that was able to listen to juicy tidbits regarding Gayle's books and news about If I Stay. According to Ana and what Gayle mentioned, Gayle hopes that Chloe Grace Moretz is cast to play the part of Mia Hall. Mia Hall is the main protagonist in If I Stay.

If I Stay is written by Gayle Forman and was published by Dutton Juvenile. If I Stay is a YA contemporary thriller. The book was released in 2009 and follows the story of 17 year old Mia that is involved in a horrible car accident. The story is told while Mia is in a coma. There is a sequel to If I Stay called Where She Went, that follows Adam story after If I Stay. Both amazing books and even better audio books.

So what do you think if Chloe is cast? Who do you think would be a perfect Mia and Adam?

UPDATE 1/24/13: Mtv's Hollywood Crush is confirming that Chloe Grace Moretz did in fact get casted to play Mia in If I Stay!!!!

On to Divergent news:

Deadline Hollywood reports that Summit Entertainment has narrowed it down and tested 4 actors for "Four". The guys mentioned are Luke Bracey (Monte Carlo), Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) , Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and Jack Reynor (Transformer 4).

News of who came out strong with great chemistry with Shailene Woodley (Tris) has not be said yet.

As far as who to me looks like "Four" would probably be Brenton or Lucas if they darken his hair. They would be decent choices. Of course the person you chose as your favorite characters usually never looks like who was casted. I would also be more than ok if Max Irons or Drew Roy were chosen. They look more like "Four" to me.

Then on Examiner, they mention Hypable talked about reports confirming Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), Lucas Till and Jeremy Irvine have auditioned for "Four". I can't see Alex as four, No No No!
