In the year 2051, some people have a second pulse…

Like all who have “the pulse,” Faith Daniels and Dylan Gilmore have telekinetic powers—they can move objects with their minds. But there are five “second pulses” in the world who have an even greater power: Almost nothing can harm them. They are virtually indestructible.

Both Faith and Dylan have the second pulse. But the other side has second pulses, too, and they’ve been training for a war that has been brewing their entire lives. As Dylan executes a plan to infiltrate enemy grounds, he’ll have to face his only weakness, and a family secret that will threaten his very existence.

Together, Faith and Dylan are the only hope this world has left, but they must go their separate ways in order to accomplish their plan. Will their love survive?

With richly developed characters and heart-pounding action scenes, the second book in Patrick Carman’s Pulse trilogy continues the electrifying dystopian story of love and revenge.

With the revelation the opening chapter contains, I still do not know how I was able to sleep. Tremor is one of those books that demands attention within the very first pages. It was absolutely a fabulous sequel to such a unique and high technological dystopian world.

In the first book, Pulse, we come to learn Gretchen is the leader of the drifters and mother of Dylan. In Tremor, we learn her past and discover who Dylan’s father is. This was crazy to acknowledge. Not only did Dylan survive a fight against two pulses but now he must go to war with new-discover relatives.

Pulse is left off when Cara, Wade fight against Dylan and Faith. All three are second pulses except Faith. She is just learning about being a pulse and barely survived this fight. In Tremor, Faith and Dylan join forces with the drifters to fight against not two but three second-pulses. In the process of training, Faith finally is able to acquire her second pulse. Would this be enough to fight against these three second-pulses along with an army of criminals?

Tremor is full of action and revelations with a great taste of romance. I was not expecting this at all. Usually I find it hard for a sequel to exceed the first novel, but Tremor had no problem at this. Patrick did a phenomenal job with Tremor and I cannot wait for the third installment of this series! I recommend everyone to read Pulse series– a very unique and beautifully written series.
