Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

Dirty Rowdy Thing is an extremely appropriate title for Harlow and Finn, man they were HOT. We’re first introduced to Finn and Harlow in Sweet Filthy Boy as Mia and Ansel’s best friends. Harlow and Finn started their relationship off with a wild night in Vegas that ended in a marriage, a 12 hour marriage. They quickly put an end to their marriage since the only thing they had in common was the hot sex the night before, which Harlow had missed and surprised Finn by showing up in just a trench coat on his front step in Canada.

So flash forward a few months and Harlow has had a rough night and is in need of some caffeine, while waiting in line at Starbucks she notices a familiar face in the pastry window, Finn. Last time Harlow had seen Finn was at his house while he called her a cab back to the airport, clearly upset, Harlow is all out of sorts, first being a bit flustered from the night before/morning after, and now running into Finn. After her run in with Finn, Harlow finds out some very earth shattering news, news she can’t do much to help fix, and that’s what Harlow does, she fixes things. She needs a distraction and Finn is the perfect person for that. Finn takes her to a whole new level, a level that makes her forget everything she needs to forget and makes her feel things she never thought possible. Finn and Harlow make a deal that it’s just sex, and of course we seen the movies, we read plenty of the books, just sex never works out to be just that, feelings always get in the way, throw us off balance. With two strong willed people can they actually work together, or will they butt heads too often?

There’s one thing about Christina Lauren, their characters never disappoint. I’m engaged within the first few pages of reading it and I won’t put it down until I’ve finished. They slowly introduce you to them; always leave a bit of mystery, and always leaving you wanting more. Finn was hot, like my fingertips started burning while reading this book, hot. Finn is definitely neck and neck with Will, like so close to being just as hot (there’s just something about Will). I love the struggles the characters have to conquer, they have hurdles they face like the obstacles we have to overcome daily and it’s nice to escape and see how someone else deals with it, even if they are fictional.

So yes, definitely, go out and buy this book. And if you haven’t read Sweet Filthy Boy go and get that one too, you’re not going to want to miss out on the Wild Season series that I can assure you. I recommend all of Christina Lauren books to my friends, always. They take you on a fun, hot, angsty adventure and they never disappoint.

This is a New Adult romance novel recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and mature subject matter.
