After her fall out with Jack, Lana is a shell of who she use to be. At least that's how she feels. She knows that she is a better person but she feels incomplete without him. Cal has been waiting for his chance to be with her, and she has secretly been wanting to know what it'd be like to be with him as well. Now's their chance to see whether their love with grow and blossom, or end just as badly as Lana's previous relationship.
Wow....Hot. Hot. HOT! I could not get enough of Callum! A hot firefighter with a beautiful body, and amazing tattoo? Uhm...hello. Give me more! As if that's not enough, Cal is a sweetheart who wants to just protect the one he loves. Holy Hell, am I in trouble! Lana is of course having trust issues, but who wouldn't after such a bad breakup. Their characters were both likable, and believable. Which is all I ever really ask for when reading a book.
The story was great, I didn't even realize I was at the end until I had flipped the last page. I was so heartbroken that I had reached the end. And the end...Ugh! I need the next book ASAP! Ryan has such a way of making you obsessed with her characters. If I wasn't reading the book, all I could think about were Cal and Lana and where their path would go next. I didn't see the ending coming from a mile away because I was so wrapped up in what their future could possibly hold. And I wasn't expecting what their future held. I so hope that things go how I want them to in the next book, but only time will tell.
