When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesn’t see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning woman…who wants to crush the most intimate - and prized - parts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Christian Louboutins.

Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.

And now he has his sights set on Kennedy. **
When Kennedy looks at Brent Mason, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue-worthy teenager who humiliated her in high school to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell.

She’s not a lovesick social outcast anymore - she’s a DC prosecutor with a long winning streak behind her. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case and she thinks it’s time to put him through a little hell of his own.

But things aren’t exactly working out that way.

Because every fiery exchange has her wondering if he’s as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. Each argument and objection only makes him want her more. In the end, Brent and Kennedy may just find themselves in love…or in contempt of court.

I’ve read this book without realizing Appealed is part of a series. Thankfully this book can read as a standalone and enjoyed it to pieces.

If you haven’t read any of Emma’s books, then I would suggest to start soon, okay, right now. She has a gift in writing the best male POVs. She will amaze you with her writing skills.

Appealed is yet another sexy and laugh-out-loud story by Emma. Really, you need this story in your life.

Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph share a past and it is not a good one. Yes, they were good friends and yes they shared many things. However, Brent did something unforgivable and Kennedy cannot forgive him. Now, all grown these two meet again. And Kennedy is not happy about this. Little did they know they will be fighting a case. Kennedy is a federal prosecutor in one of Brent’s case.

The insults are real but the judge is not happy. To make things worst, the judge has appointed them to spend time together until they start respecting each other in court and outside… As they start to get to know each other once again, Kennedy reveals why she’s the way she is and Brent has to find a way to earn her trust again.

Kennedy is a very strong character. I loved her character. She has been through a lot and all you will do is cheer for her. Now with Brent, he will completely steal your heart. From the very first page to the last. He is an incredible and likable character.

If you want a good laugh with a great story, no need to look further more. Appealed is the humorous, fast-paced and well written. You will love the characters, the dialogue and their chemistry. Trust me, once you meet Brent, you’ll be thanking me! LOL Go and read this now!
