Morgan was a well thought out Sy-Fy thriller that keeps you engrossed in the story throughout the entire movie. I feel like the story did a good job of developing the key characters and had a wonderful ensemble cast to boot.

Morgan is a story of an organic based artificial intelligence being that takes a little different approach to the usual story. Anya Taylor —Joy’s character Morgan was created, raised, and studied in a secluded laboratory environment. A corporate risk management consultant, played by Kate Mara, must determine the fate of the synthetic human as a result of Morgan acting out violently towards a member of the staff. They spend a great deal of time showing the complexity of Morgan’s personality and showing “her” as a very human like being with some very serious anger issues.

The director does not waste your time with unnecessary back story or flashy filler scenes. The movie is very to the point and the impressive cast does a great job making their characters relatable and drawing you in. Giving his feature film directorial debut, Luke Scott (son of Ridley Scott), he also served as screen writer on the film.

I enjoyed the film and found it suspenseful, entertaining, and enjoyed the plot twist. It definitely has the Scott family directorial feel to it and will look forward to future films with Luke Scott directing.
