The first human born on Mars travels to Earth for the first time, experiencing the wonders of the planet through fresh eyes. He embarks on an adventure with a street smart girl to discover how he came to be.

Have you ever been asked "what's your favorite thing about Earth?" If not, can you think of something within three seconds? What IS your favorite about Earth? Is it the blue sky? The air? Or just being? To be honest, I don't know what is my favorite thing because we live in a beautiful planet, that I cannot fathom to come up with just one answer. I guess just living this life?

In The Space Between Us, Gardner (Asa Butterfield) was born on Mars... Yes, the planet. His mother was sent on a mission not knowing she was pregnant and could not return to Earth when she realized she was. At birth, she died and he was left as an orphan surrounded by technology and geniuses. Due to the incredibly high risk it would be to bring him back to Earth, Gardner was raised on Mars. Now as a teenager, he craves for the company of human beings his age but again, this is really dangerous for him. After years of his insists, his wish is granted and he finally lands on Earth.

Comes in the question, What's your favorite thing about Earth?  Gardner was so fascinated with its beauty that the smallest thing he found, was amusing. It was so touchy seeing him react to things we really don't pay attention to. The air, gravity, the light, being able to see clearly.... things that it's dangerous to him. No matter how much he loved Earth, Earth did not want him here. IT was heartbreaking seeing him want to stay yet he couldn't or else he would die.

The Space Between Us is not a sweet story about a boy from Mars wanting to be one of us, but learning to appreciate the smallest thing about being on Earth. My favorite thing about this movie was being able to see his reaction at everything he saw for the first time. It's like watching a blind person experience sight for the first time. Trust me, you'll want to see this one for Asa's acting! He is so amazing! Don't forget to grab your copy today!

Thank you Universal for the Blu-Ray/DVD copy! I truly enjoyed the movie.
