Movie News: The Maze Runner Snapchat Event!
THE MAZE RUNNER - “Survive the Night"
They say no one survives a night in the Maze. Starting at sundown, two Snapchat influencers will try to master the challenges beamed in from WCKD HQ. Only the fans will decide who comes out as the true winner.
In anticipation of the Blu-ray/DVD release of The Maze Runner Movie, FOX is partnering with Snapchat influencers for an overnight activation, beginning at dusk on Saturday the 13th and ending at dawn on Sunday the 14th.
Called "Survive the Night," the activation will have Snapchat influencers competing in Maze Runner-inspired Snap challenges on the hour, every hour from dusk until dawn. Challenges posed by the Maze Runner handle on Snapchat will trigger the influencers to post their own original responses. Fans are then invited to vote for their favorite influencer each round via Twitter using the #SurviveTheNight hashtag. The influencer with the most votes will have exclusive MazeRunner intel to give their fans in return at the close of the activation.
Participating influencers are Amymarie Gaertner (Snapchat handle: xoxoamymarie) and Kenny Holland (Snapchat handle: kennyholland).
Casting News: 'Game of Thrones' Actress Nathalie Emmanuel Joined Cast of 'The Scorch Trials'
Fans of "GoT" will be excited to know that Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) has joined the cast of The Scorch Trials. The Scorch Trials is the sequel to the The Maze Runner movie (and novel of the same name) which hit theaters this past September.
As of right now The Scorch Trials is expected to release September 2015.
Emmanuel joins Aidan Gillen, Rosa Salazar and Giancarlo Esposito as recent addiction to star alongside Dylan O'Brien and Will Poulter. Director Wes Ball will continue to work on the sequel and Temple Hill Entertainment and Gotham Group will once again produce the movie.
For those that have read the book written by James Dashner, than you will be familiar with the character Emmanuel will be playing. She will play the Harriet, leader of a the group of girls that escaped from another maze.

A friend recently send me a copy of this book and said that I had to read it. A few days later the opportunity to do a review of the entire series came up and so naturally I couldn't resist.
The story revolves around Thomas who wakes up in the middle of Glades with no recollection of how or why he is there. Thomas quickly learns that the Glades is a remote location that is populated with boys who spend their days and nights just trying to survive and solve the mystery of the Maze.
They are provided with all of the essentials that they need to survive but in the two years that they have been in the Glades, they have made no progress on how to escape this place to get back to where they all came from. To make matters worse, the Maze is overrun with Grievers who hunt them down while they are in the Maze and can kill them or worse, make them go through the torturous "changing" process.
Things have started to change since Thomas has arrived, a few of the boys can't shake the feeling that they have seen Thomas before..and not for any good reason. Thomas himself cant shake the feeling that he's been her before, in the Glades, in the Maze.
Finally a mystery girl arrives, the first one ever. The boys have no idea of what this means but she has come with a message that she is "the last one ever." What follows is an action-packed adventure filled with mystery and adrenaline on every page.
Halfway through the book my 12 year old daughter checked it out from her school library and read it with me, we ended up finishing the book together and we both loved it.
The Maze Runner is set for its big screen debut in September, 2014. I am totally looking forward to the next books in this a-MAZE-ing series.
